UPDATED Remembrance Day – Nov 11 – Carp

This year 872 Sqn has been invited to send 10 cadets to Carp to assist with the November 11 Remembrance Day Ceremony in Carp. Cadets will be escorting elderly Veterans to their seats, handing out service sheets, escorting wreath layers, and assisting with the clean up after the ceremony. Cadets are to be there by 1000 hrs and will be done by 1200 hrs. Cadets and parents are invited to attend a post service reception at the Diefenbunker after the ceremony (entrance to the bunker will be free).

Location: West Carleton War Memorial, Carp – MAP
The West Carleton Cenotaph (WCC) is located at the foot of Falldown Lane and Donald B Munro Drive, in the village of Carp, Ontario.

This year Carp is re-dedicating the memorial to include additional names and Cadets have been requested to read out these names. If you are interesting in assisting with this part of the ceremony, you must be able to speak clearly and annunciate 25 names. Please contact Capt Schmid at CaptSchmid38@gmail.com if you are interested in assisting with this part of the event. Names will be provided prior to the event.

Dress will be C1 (full dress uniform with medals) and Parka.
