Drones – Monday Nights from Jan. 6th to Feb. 24th from 1900 to 2100 – Maurice-Lapointe School, 17 Bridgestone Dr, Kanata

The program lasts seven weeks, six of which are classes; the last week is a drone race. Classes mix theory and practice while covering multiple areas, and rely extensively on simulator practice at home due to limited flight time. Maximum number of students is 10, also due to limited flight time. Applicants must be at least 15 years old, and priority will be based on age and seniority. In future years, cadets who have not taken the course will be given priority over those who have. IMPORTANT: Students must bring their own mobile device (smartphone or tablet, iOS or Android), and must download at their own cost the recommended software for practicing at home (free for Android, under $10 for iOS). Selected applicants who do not have access to a mobile device are encouraged to approach the SSC to help them find a loaner.
