Senior Cadets,

Eastern Region is planning a senior cadet seminar. The seminar is offered for two cadets per CC/Sqn, the senior cadets must be aged 16 or older, have at least four years in the cadet program and be returning to the Sqn for the year 2012-2013 training year.

The following topics will be addressed:

1.        Communication and leadership

   - how to become an effective advocate of the cadet program in the community

   - How to properly present ideas to improve the attraction, the retention of cadets and  the conduct of activities

   - optimizing the use of social networks at the CC/Sqn

   - Leadership scenarios
  

2.       The growth of the CPC

  - identify good practices that promote the retention of cadets

  - motivating junior cadets

  - promoting pride in being a cadet

  - engaging in a marketing team
  

3.       The Cadet Training Program

 -  Increasing the knowledge of with regards to the training program

 -  developing approaches to have challenging and interesting courses/activities at the  CC/Sqn

-   practical activities

The seminar will be held at HMCS Quebec in Bécancour, from March 9 to 11 2012. Travel days are scheduled for March 8 and 11.
