Join us at the Defence Community Family Appreciation Days on 1 and 2 June at Uplands; the National Capital Region’s premiere family event for all members of the Defence Community.

Friday 1 June from 1500 hrs to 2300 hrs and Saturday 2 June from 1000 hrs to 2300 hrs
Located at former Canadian Forces Base Uplands (where the Military Family Resource Centre and PSP Recreation are located), near the Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport.
What to Expect?
Themed “Our Heroes”, this year’s event will feature a slew of activities and attractions for all ages, including superhero training, military displays, amusement park rides, sports activities, a Saturday night movie, and so much more. Military families are heroes, contributing to the Defence Community’s operations by supporting our members and building a welcoming community. This event is a way for us to celebrate their support and show them our heartfelt gratitude for truly representing the strength behind the uniform.
Who Can Attend?
Current members or former members of the following organizations and their family: CAF (Regular Forces and Reserve Forces), DND, Cadets, NPF staff, RCMP, Hylands Golf Clubs and Ottawa Athletics Club.
All attendees are required to present a valid ID from one of the above organizations or be accompanied by someone who has the proper ID in order to access the site.
Where to Stay?
Stay the weekend in our ever-popular Mortgage Forces Family Days Campground where you can reserve a modular tent for up to six individuals, breakfast included! 50$ + HST; don’t delay as tents sell out quickly!
Wish to volunteer?
We are looking for members of the Defence community, 14 yrs and up, to contribute their time and efforts to make this event truly outstanding! Available shifts include: information at the main tent and entrance; crowd assistance at displays, parking lot attendees, etc. Register online by 25 May.
